Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan (FKIP) Universitas Muhammadiyah Metro adalah satu dari 5 (lima) fakultas yang ada di UM Metro yang secara langsung memiliki garis komando dengan rektor. Tiap fakultas di pimpin oleh dekan yang dibantu oleh masing-masing 3 (tiga) pembantu dekan. Secara normatif, dekan memiliki garis koordinasi dengan Senat Fakultas dalam rangka pelaksanaan tugas yang berkaitan dengan kebijakan dan aturan yang bersifat normatif. Sedangkan untuk mengkonsolidasikan program kerja fakultas, dekan membawahi Jurusan/Program studi dan UPT (laboratorium, perpustakaan) yang langsung bersentuhan dengan mahasiswa dan pegawai/staf administrasi.
Dalam melaksanakan aktivitas secara operasional, masing-masing komponen melaksanakan tugas dan fungsinya dengan mengutamakan pelayanan prima dan senantiasa mengevaluasi efektifitas dan efisien dari proses dan hasil layanannya masing-masing. Para pembantu dekan melaksanakan tugas dan fungsi sesuai dengan kebijakan pada bidang tugasnya masing-masing, sedangkan jurusan dan program studi melakukan kegiatan tridharma perguruan tinggi secara operasional bagi dosen dan mahasiswa, sedangkan UPT secara teknis melayani kebutuhan operasional tentang pembentukan dan pemantapan kompetensi mahasiswa masing-masing program studi.
